Whether you are seriously interested in wine or have just a casual interest you will enjoy a wine and tapas tasting at La Maison du Rire. If you are visiting the Corbieres (it is also worth travelling from further afield too). Emma delivers the tasting with her professional knowledge, interesting tips, facts and humour. The food the wine is paired with is superb, She uses locally sourced ingredients for her accompanying dishes. Her talent for finding and presenting good wines allows her to create such lovely dishes some of which have no recipe (Emma has written two cookery books). We left her beautiful house feeling like with had dined with old friends and had learnt a lot along the way but also happy that we had booked another event with her in a month’s time. Go, you will enjoy!

A group of us had a few hours with Emma Kershaw, learning about wine and food pairing. Well!!! I have been to similar things before and they were ok, but this one was fantastic! We learned so much and had a lot of laughs (see what I did there?) and the time flew by!
The knowledge that Emma has is second to none, but she also has a great way to give you information that stays with you and makes it fun and she really is a lovely and kind person herself.
I highly recommend you try one of her tastings and also buy her books.

Nous avons passé un dimanche merveilleux en compagnie d’Emma avec nos 6 enfants (20-35 ans) en quête d’une éducation œnologique. Les plats avec des saveurs régionales sont inoubliables et le choix des vins associés est parfait. Cerise sur le gâteau, Emma est charmante et sait parfaitement nous accompagner avec le sourire pendant cette dégustation. A fortement recommander. Sylvie & Bruno

Emma nous accueille avec chaleur dans sa magnifique demeure et nous fait partager avec passion son immense connaissance sur les vins.Les plats servis sont tous élaborés avec des produits frais locaux .C’ est à une fête du gout que l’ on est convié
à la maison du rire,tant du point de vue de la qualités des mets que de la diversité vins.Un moment inoubliable!
